Each year, the Partners in Los Angeles Catholic Education (PLACE) program at Loyola Marymount University bestows two awards of honor. The first recognizes a long-standing partner of the program who has demonstrated commitment to the pillars of the PLACE Program. We are proud to share that Sacred Heart high school, a founding PLACE school with 10 affiliated PLACErs (current and alumni), is the recipient of this award. Our very own faculty member, Mr. Gregory Nakashima, was also distinguished as the recipient of the Fr. Albert Koppes Award. This accolade is bestowed on a PLACE alumni who is committed to the mission of Catholic education and a continuously serves the PLACE program. Congratulations to the SHHS community and Mr. Nakashima on these milestone achievements!
